At Rugerheim we have dedicated our lives to breeding quailty GSP's. "Dual Quality" GSP's. We have bred, trained and finished more Dual Champions than anyone, in any breed. This is a fact. We also bred Dual Champion Rugerheim's Bit of Bourbon, who is the ALL-TIME top producing Dual Champion Sire in our breed and the #3 All-Time top producing show sire in our breed. We don't just talk "Dual Quality", we produce it! We believe that quality dogs are produced through performance - SHOW AND FIELD. In the time that we have been breeding and campaigning GSP's, we have produced and maintained top 10 winning GSP's in the show ring, field trials and in the top 10 producers. We have produced over 250 Bench Champions, 100 Field Champions and 18 Dual Champions.
If you buy a GSP from us, you can expect a dog that will be a GREAT family pet and a wonderful hunting dog. After all, 90% of our dogs go to hunters. The temperaments of our dogs are the most important concern to us. You can expect a dog that is "within" the breed standard, a dog that is medium sized, that looks like a GSP should. A "good looking hunting dog". In the field you can expect a dog that is a natural retriever, on land and water, and a natural backer. A dog that is easily trained and very biddable. All of these things we PROMISE you, BECAUSE WE ONLY BREED DOGS THAT MEET ALL OF THESE EXPECTATIONS.
